Emerald Group Publishing benefit from more efficient learning on a global scale

Emerald Group Publishing, a global specialist publisher with nearly 300 journals, over 2,500 books and contributors across 12 offices worldwide, needed to replace an outdated LMS that saw low engagement and was hard to edit and maintain. The old system couldn’t support the organisation’s growth and frustrated users, so Emerald sought a modern, scalable solution.

Working with Totara partner Webanywhere, Emerald implemented a branded, SCORM‑compliant Totara LMS and received training to manage it. The new system improved induction and reporting, increased staff engagement, now hosts 16 e‑learning modules, halved editing time, supports up to 1,000 users and is being considered for wider HR use.
