Edwards Mediation Academy saves significant time and money by training global mediators online

Edwards Mediation Academy (EMA) provides online mediation skills training for lawyers and judges around the world, including in markets where access to expert instruction is limited. Its challenge was delivering high-quality, experiential mediation training without the cost and impracticality of bringing overseas instructors to each location, while still allowing students to learn from real-world examples and expert guidance.

EMA chose Totara Learn as its LMS, supported by Totara partner eClass4learning, to run a hybrid training model with self-paced online learning, in-person affiliate sessions, multilingual access, and mobile-friendly delivery. Totara’s reporting and assessment tools helped EMA track progress and accreditation, and the program has since trained over 600 participants, earned bar association accreditations, and achieved 100% of course evaluation respondents saying the course met or exceeded expectations.
