DRIIVE towards the launch of a new product with the tour the Hans

Hans Anders, a European optician and audiologist retail chain, needed to train 2,500 employees across 650 locations on a brand-new sports glasses line called DRIIVE. The product required new fitting and strength-measurement techniques, and Hans Anders used Totara, its learning platform, to help staff quickly understand the product and how to sell it confidently.

Using Totara, Hans Anders created a gamified learning campaign called “Tour de Hans” with five interactive stages, badges, jerseys, and recap content to make learning engaging and memorable. The program was built by two L&D specialists in just three weeks and helped reduce new product rollout costs by 40%. More than 1,000 employees completed the course, including 856 in the Netherlands and 200 in Belgium, with very positive feedback and stronger sales confidence.
