A Totara Case Study
The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) was using an outdated, unsupported Totara LMS version that was difficult to maintain and did not meet mobile, accessibility, or compliance-tracking needs. Working with Totara and its partner Androgogic, the department needed a modern learning and performance platform to better support mandatory training and performance management for its large, distributed workforce.
Totara upgraded DJSIR from Totara LMS v2.9 to Totara TXP v14, adding a more modern UI, mobile-responsive design, improved accessibility, enhanced reporting, LinkedIn Learning integration, and stronger certification-based compliance management. Totara also enabled automated assignment and tracking for 4,500 employees, over 10,500 performance activities with more than 90% completion in 2021/22, and 7,300 activities with an 80% completion rate in the current cycle, significantly improving administration and compliance oversight.
