Deloitte delivers gamified microlearning through its innovative Totara Learn-based BizQuiz app

Deloitte Belgium, part of the global Deloitte professional services firm, faced a steady decline in employees keeping up with technical tax, legal and regulatory updates — blamed on the move to paperless resources, packed billable schedules, and reliance on finding answers rather than retaining them. They needed a way to help professionals stay credible with quick, regular refreshers that fit into busy workdays.

Deloitte Learning Solutions built BizQuiz — a Totara Learn–based, multi-device gamified microlearning app delivering weekly job‑related quizzes with prep articles/videos, real‑time leaderboards, classroom integration and rewards tied to performance reviews. Launched in May 2017 in Belgium and the Netherlands, it now has 2,700 active players, 246 quizzes, 35,000+ quiz attempts and an average session of five minutes, with plans to expand its use for recruitment, talent management and wider rollout.
