Core Assets improve safeguarding in the social care sector

Core Assets is a UK-based social care organisation working with children, families, consultancy and resourcing both domestically and internationally. They needed to spread their “Be‑Alert” safeguarding message to adults who come into contact with children but aren’t education professionals, and required a flexible, easy-to-use, cost‑effective learning management system to host this and other training.

Learning Pool developed an illustrated safeguarding e-learning course that sensitively teaches people to recognise and respond to abuse and neglect, while Totara Learn was chosen for its flexibility and customisation. Core Assets moved from spreadsheets to Totara for robust reporting and added features like learning‑needs analysis and reflective logs; the platform now supports around 100 users a week and has received consistently positive feedback for engagement and support.
