Budapest-based energy company FŐTÁV improves efficiency of training delivery with LMS platform

FŐTÁV is a Budapest-based district heating company serving 240,000 homes and 6,000 industrial customers across 17 districts, employing around 500 staff. The organisation needed a learning management system that was easy for their L&D team to use, would centralise training data, reduce travel between sites, support multi-level training plans and manager approvals, send automated learner notifications, integrate securely with enterprise IT, and be hosted safely on a third‑party server.

FŐTÁV implemented Totara Learn with Veloxnet and Magabiztos support, mapping the full organisational hierarchy, assigning competencies by role, enabling self-created learning plans with manager approvals, automating notifications, and migrating extensive existing content. The platform delivered strong reporting and secure integration, is externally hosted as required, and has supported over 700 employees completing more than 50 courses, streamlined 30+ annual classroom programmes and achieved significant travel-cost savings with positive user feedback.
