BOSS Paints Achieves Target of 80% Course Completion in Four Years for Its Technical Product Training

BOSS Paints is a Belgium-based family-owned paint manufacturer and retailer (with a colora franchise of ~60 shops) that prides itself on superior technical advice and customer service. To protect that competitive edge and support 265 employees, the company needed a scalable way to standardise technical knowledge across sales, customer support and franchise staff and set a target of 80% course completion for training.

Working with Deloitte Learning Solutions, BOSS Paints launched a Totara Learn LMS called “Everest,” initially for ~160 staff and later extended to franchise employees, offering around 200 blended courses linked to competencies and job roles. Today Everest hosts 400 learning projects, all 265 employees have logins, and course completion rose from 38% in year one to 80.4% after four years, with learning now tied to reviews, awards and ongoing expansion plans.
