Blind Veterans UK, a charity supporting around 4,700 vision‑impaired ex‑Service personnel across the UK, faced a distributed workforce in regional offices and two centres with ad hoc training records and no central way to capture learning progress or compliance data for audits.

They implemented Totara Learn with Engage in Learning to deliver online onboarding and compliance courses, seminar bookings, automated certifications and reminders, and a simplified learner experience. The platform now supports about 550 staff (with volunteers to follow), helps meet an 85% compliance target by providing robust records and manager visibility, and is being extended to replace paper appraisals.
