BioGaia Academy a recipe for supporting and developing a global network of opinion leaders

BioGaia, the Swedish healthcare company known for probiotics, needed a way to grow and develop its global research network of opinion leaders and create an online learning community where medical experts could share knowledge and engage with participants. To address this challenge, BioGaia worked with Totara partner Aleido and used Totara Learn as the foundation for the BioGaia Academy.

Totara implemented a bespoke blended learning program with social learning, peer-to-peer assessments, forums, webinars, interactive video, and multilingual eLearning. The results were strong: participants rated overall learning 5/5, expert support 5/5, and technical functionality 4.77/5, with 92% saying they would recommend the program. BioGaia also reported reaching over 10,000 physicians in Latin America at a lower cost than before, helping expand its medical education efforts.
