BF Joy, LLC, a 100-year-old underground infrastructure specialist, needed a better way to deliver required safety training, verify compliance, and create career paths for employees in a tight labor market. After earlier attempts with Moodle fell short on reporting and automation, BF Joy turned to Totara and its Content Marketplace to support training for roles across the company, including NCCER-aligned learning pathways.

Totara helped BF Joy launch an apprenticeship and development program with flexible online and face-to-face learning, SSO with Office 365, automated role-based pathways, seminars, quizzes, and advanced reporting. The results were strong: 100% of employees opted into the program, and more than 5,000 badges have been awarded, boosting motivation and recognition while making training easier to track and manage.
