Autism Swim is an award‑winning international charity that certifies aquatic professionals to reduce drowning risk for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Supporting around 1,200 learners across 15 countries, the organisation needed to digitise its certification in 2018 with a learner-friendly, easy-to-navigate platform that could enforce mandatory training modules, monthly resources and three‑monthly quizzes while “drip‑feeding” content to users with little prior online learning experience.

Catalyst customised a Totara LMS for Autism Swim, creating a streamlined dashboard, HR imports, dynamic audience enrolment, SCORM‑based training modules with certificates, monthly resource releases via a re‑engagement plugin, compulsory quizzes (80% pass) and custom reporting with scheduled completion emails. The solution delivered fast global scalability and better analytics: Autism Swim now reaches learners in 15 countries, supports 1,200 certified trainers and enables programs that give over 14,000 children safer access to aquatic activities.
