Atlas Hotels Ignites Learner Engagement With a Revitalised Learning Culture

Atlas Hotels, an award-winning operator of Holiday Inn Express and Hampton by Hilton properties and the largest Holiday Inn Express franchisee in Europe, needed a more effective way to train staff across two brands in a high-turnover industry. Their incumbent hospitality platform wasn’t engaging learners, offered poor visibility for managers, and made it hard to deliver targeted, up-to-date training quickly and at scale.

Learning Pool built “Ed” on Totara Learn with Adapt-built, brand-customised content, a playful trainer persona, bespoke reporting, audience-based course auto-assignment, face-to-face session booking, and HR integration for easy user provisioning. Within six months Ed delivered ~120 courses and 17,792 completions for ~1,000 staff across 47 hotels, drove up mandatory completion rates, reduced admin with auto-release modules, and shifted the company toward a more engaged learning culture.
