Simpsons Beverages saves 46 MT CO2e with Tosca

Simpsons Beverages, a global supplier of drinks flavours, faced significant logistical challenges with their traditional rigid IBCs. These issues included unpredictable supply and spiralling costs, safety concerns from inefficient storage, and significant plastic waste that contradicted their sustainability goals. They partnered with vendor Tosca to find a solution using their Superior Hybrid IBCs.

Tosca implemented its pooling model with foldable, reusable Superior Hybrid IBCs. This solution provided Simpsons Beverages with enhanced operational efficiency, easier storage, and a scalable system for future growth. The measurable impact for Simpsons Beverages included saving 46 MT of CO2 equivalent, 1,256 Gj of fossil fuels, and 16,342 M3 of water. Tosca also absorbed the UK Plastic Packaging Tax, resulting in significant cost savings and reduced administrative burdens for the customer.
