Breast Cancer Now raises £1.48 million with Torchbox

Breast Cancer Now, a UK charity, wanted to expand the reach and effectiveness of its "Walk 100 miles in October" virtual fundraising challenge. Their goal was to generate high-quality registrations through paid social media while also testing new channels to engage new audiences and ensure the long-term viability of their virtual events. They partnered with digital agency Torchbox to manage this campaign.

Torchbox implemented a paid social strategy focused primarily on Meta, supported by a significant test budget for TikTok. The approach included broad prospecting, lookalike audiences, and remarketing on Meta. For TikTok, the team used simple, platform-native creative content. Torchbox's solution generated 24,544 leads, which was 37% above target, and helped raise a total of £1.48 million. The successful TikTok test reached a younger demographic with a cost per lead 36% lower than on Meta.
