A Torchbox Case Study

Preview of the Amnesty International UK Case Study

Amnesty International UK launches a new Wagtail website with Torchbox to support 500,000+ supporters

Amnesty International UK, a major human rights organization with over half a million supporters, needed a new website to serve as a key digital touchpoint for its 2022-2030 strategy. The challenge was to build more than just a website; it required creating the digital infrastructure to grow the movement, introduce new audiences to its work, and help existing activists take action. They partnered with the vendor Torchbox to achieve this vision using the Wagtail CMS.

Torchbox built an optimized website and a Knowledge Hub that makes it easier for people to understand Amnesty's work, get involved, donate, and fundraise. The solution integrated with key systems like Engaging Networks and goDonate. The new platform provides an intuitive editing experience for Amnesty's teams and enhanced security against cyber threats. Torchbox delivered an accessible, user-friendly website that actively supports the organization's wider digital transformation and strategic goals.
