First Time Founder and Emmy Winner Uses Toptal to Build Disruptive Cloud-Based Platform Startup

Sidekick, a cloud-based platform startup founded by first-time entrepreneur and Emmy winner Doug MacKay, needed help turning an early concept into an investor-ready business. To prepare for fundraising, the company worked with Toptal, including Toptal Design and Toptal Finance, to develop a mobile prototype and the core business materials needed to attract venture capital.

Toptal helped Sidekick build its database and platform, launch an MVP, and refine its pitch deck, business plan, and financial model. As a result, Sidekick secured investor interest, met its target valuation, raised capital, and generated further interest from six VC funds after presenting at Venture Summit West.
