Argo Group, a global insurance company with about 1,300 employees, wanted to turn around weak performance after its stock had fallen and to build a stronger leadership bench. To do that, Argo Group partnered with Topgrading and used its hiring methodology and software platform to improve talent quality across the organization.

Topgrading trained managers, supported train-the-trainer certification, helped assess and coach senior leaders, and conducted Topgrading Interviews for high-stakes roles. The result was a rise in A Players hired and promoted in management from 51% to 96%, sales growth from $200 million in 2000 to $3 billion in 2020, and more than 15% compounded stock performance since Topgrading began.
