Festo, a global leader in automation technology and technical education, was struggling to process about 10,000 sales-related documents a day across 28 countries. Incoming purchase orders arrived by fax and email in many different formats, and manual routing, filing, and archiving caused slow response times and limited visibility. To address this, Festo turned to Top Image Systems and its eFLOW platform.

Top Image Systems implemented eFLOW to automatically capture, validate, and route purchase orders into SAP, with support for document classification, line-item extraction, and centralized monitoring through a Fax Monitor. The solution reduced document capture to under 30 seconds and end-to-end order processing to just 3–6 minutes, helping Festo meet a 2.5-hour processing target, improve transparency and customer satisfaction, and create a scalable foundation for future digital mailroom growth.
