Tiger Brands, a R20 billion fast-moving consumer goods company (Beverage Division), had reached the limits of its manual planning processes and faced operational risk from relying on a single master planner. Seeking improved forecasts, higher service levels and faster, more agile planning, Tiger Brands selected ToolsGroup’s advanced planning system (APS) to provide integrated forecasting, demand planning, inventory optimization and replenishment capabilities.

ToolsGroup implemented a comprehensive APS—integrated with ERP and S&OP—going live in four months and rolling out forecasting, safety-stock calculations, replenishment and capacity planning. As a result, Tiger Brands’ service levels climbed from an average of about 80% to consistently above 90%, while inventory levels fell sooner than expected, delivering working-capital savings, better warehouse utilization and lower logistics costs.
