Case Study: Polaris improves service levels and cuts inventory with ToolsGroup's automated planning (SO99+)

A ToolsGroup Case Study

Preview of the Polaris Case Study

Polaris's power sports supply chain is full speed ahead with automated planning

Polaris, a global leader in powersports vehicles and accessories, faced high service-level expectations, a huge and varied spare‑parts catalog, and a complex EMEA distribution network while relying on Excel and a single planner with limited visibility across two ERPs. To modernize forecasting and inventory management, Polaris selected ToolsGroup’s cloud solution Service Optimizer 99+ (SO99+) to replace its manual processes and better balance availability with inventory investment.

Using ToolsGroup SO99+ for probabilistic demand forecasting and inventory optimization—integrated with Microsoft Dynamics—Polaris implemented the cloud tool in about three to four months with minimal IT effort. The result: service levels rose by 10 percentage points, inventory dropped by 15 percentage points, and planner productivity improved dramatically (saving roughly two full‑time roles and enabling the team to grow), freeing staff for higher‑value analysis.
