ITW (Krafft) - Customer Case Study

ITW (Krafft), the chemical division of ITW that supplies products across more than 60 countries, faced the challenge of planning for a wide range of products and sales channels while improving service levels, optimizing finished‑goods inventory and producing a Master Production Schedule to drive ERP-generated MRP. To address forecasting gaps and build cross‑organization consensus on segmented service targets, Krafft selected ToolsGroup and its SO99+ planning software.

ToolsGroup implemented SO99+ to plan roughly 2,000 SKUs across multiple product ranges and channels, interfaced with Krafft’s BPCS ERP, and modeled the factory/central/regional warehouse network. As a result, service levels rose by 10 percentage points to 95%, inventory fell from 2.5 to 2 months of sales, delivery lead times were reduced and slow‑moving stock was cut by 50%. The ToolsGroup solution also simplified planning, freed logistics staff for higher‑value work, involved sales in forecasting, and created company‑wide consensus on service and inventory targets.
