Granarolo Group, an Italian dairy and consumer goods company managing over 1,200 SKUs and a complex network of plants, depots and distributors, needed better visibility and faster response in a market of short shelf lives and intense promotional spikes (demand peaks up to 30× baseline). To solve this, Granarolo Group partnered with ToolsGroup and deployed ToolsGroup’s SO99+ alongside its Promotions Forecasting capabilities to modernize demand planning for perishable, promotion-driven products.
ToolsGroup implemented SO99+ with machine‑learning promotions forecasting, dynamic safety‑stock calculations and inventory/replenishment optimization across strategic, tactical and operational levels. The result: forecast reliability rose from 80% to 85% (peaking ~95% for fresh milk and cream, ~88% for yogurt), inventory dropped by more than 50%, delivery lead time was cut by 50%, and customer service, sales and transportation costs all improved.
