How Event Network Integrated Competitive Pricing Strategies to Increase Margins and Power Growth

Event Network, the leading US operator of experiential retail, needed a better way to price more than 100,000 highly seasonal SKUs across over 100 stores. Its cost-plus approach could not account for irregular demand tied to exhibitions and attractions, and the company wanted a data-driven method that could reduce manual repricing effort while maintaining guest satisfaction and sustainability.

Event Network partnered with ToolsGroup, through Evo, to deploy Price.io and Markdown.io across its retail network. The new pricing model used historical sales and external data to set responsive prices and markdown timing, and the pilot increased like-for-like revenue by 6% while expanding margin by 5.5 points; per-customer sales also rose 2%. Across the program, Event Network reported more than a 300% increase in cumulative revenue from the previous year.
