ConsumerCo, a Fortune 500 global consumer products company selling in more than 200 countries, faced the common CPG challenge of moving closer to customers and achieving service-level excellence without letting inventories skyrocket. To address this, ConsumerCo partnered with ToolsGroup to deploy an Inventory Optimization solution using ToolsGroup’s SO99+ integrated with SAP APO.

ToolsGroup implemented SO99+ to run daily optimization of safety stocks and inventory targets across ConsumerCo’s multi-echelon network, including specialty-packaging components, and delivered targets into SAP APO for daily planning. The deployment improved customer service levels, enabled a Demand Driven Supply Network approach, produced multi-million dollar savings, and was expanded from an initial division to a global roll-out after proving measurable benefits.
