Melitta, a global consumer‑goods group, faced fragmented planning across 14 local sales locations for over 6,700 SKUs and frequent promotions; its legacy, self‑developed tools could not support a modern S&OP process. To centralize planning, enable collaborative demand enrichment and better manage promotions, Melitta Sales Europe selected ToolsGroup’s Service Optimizer 99+ (SO99+) as the specialist S&OP and demand‑forecasting solution.
ToolsGroup implemented SO99+ (including its Demand Collaboration Hub) integrated with Melitta’s SAP ERP to deliver centrally managed statistical forecasts that local teams and key account holders can easily adjust in collaborative workflows. The ToolsGroup solution standardized and centralized S&OP, integrated budget, sales and demand planning, improved promotion handling and expanded the active user base across regions (about 50 users so far), and delivered a measurable 3.2% improvement in statistical forecast accuracy (WMAPE) in the first six months after the France pilot.
