Case Study: KIKO Milano achieves precise forecasting and higher store availability with ToolsGroup SO99+

A ToolsGroup Case Study

Preview of the Kiko Milano Case Study

A Beautiful Supply Chain Transformation

KIKO Milano, the Italian cosmetics retailer with roughly 1,500 SKUs and more than 900 stores worldwide, faced growing complexity from rapid expansion, continual promotions, seasonal collections and the need to keep display slots stocked. Their legacy forecasting and replenishment systems could not manage store-level seasonality and promotional effects, so KIKO Milano partnered with ToolsGroup and deployed ToolsGroup Service Optimizer 99+ (SO99+) to modernize demand planning and replenishment.

ToolsGroup implemented SO99+ for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, replenishment & allocation and promotions planning, using machine learning and probabilistic forecasting to produce SKU-by-store, even daily, forecasts and to automate exception-driven approvals via eight KPIs. The ToolsGroup solution improved forecast accuracy (including seasonality), enabled precise promotion and product launch management, increased product availability and service levels at the store level, and boosted planner productivity—supporting twice-weekly order cycles to 900+ stores and successfully surviving an ERP move to SAP.
