A ToolJet Case Study
Toss, a leading South Korean financial platform, faced challenges in scaling its internal tooling without overburdening its front-end development teams. Building admin panels and back-office applications in React was inefficient, requiring scarce frontend engineering resources and slowing down delivery for departments that needed tools quickly. The high cost of alternative solutions also made it difficult to scale their internal tools affordably.
The company implemented ToolJet, a low-code platform, which allowed backend developers to create UIs without writing frontend code. This solution enabled Toss to build and deploy apps in days instead of weeks, giving departments more autonomy. Using ToolJet, Toss built over 300 internal apps and saved an estimated 400 hours of frontend effort per week, equivalent to 10 developers' worth of work, allowing their product engineers to focus on core initiatives.
