IndiGrid, one of India's largest electric utility companies, faced the challenge of preparing for Cyclone Amphan while ensuring continuous power for its stakeholders, especially during a COVID-19 lockdown. Tomorrow.io's solution provided IndiGrid with critical advance warnings, including impact forecasts two days prior and over ten hours of advanced notice on the day of the cyclone. This allowed IndiGrid to pinpoint the two most at-risk locations out of over 400, preposition crews, and plan for a rapid response. As a result, IndiGrid maintained control throughout the event, avoided extended outages, and was able to immediately restore power after the storm, ensuring the safety and well-being of its customers.
