Case Study: Linde achieves 90% higher payloads with Toll Group's cross-border logistics solution

A Toll Group Case Study

Preview of the Linde Gas Case Study

Toll innovation improves cross border logistics for Linde

Linde Gas, a world-leading gases and engineering company, needed a safer and more efficient way to move acetylene cylinders between Malaysia and Thailand. Because acetylene is highly flammable and classified as a hazardous substance, the company required a logistics partner with cross-border expertise, dangerous goods handling capability, and strong safety and compliance standards. Toll Group was selected to support this complex cylinder supply chain.

Toll Group developed a three-part logistics solution using dedicated vehicles, trained personnel, and fit-for-purpose equipment. Working with Linde and an engineering partner, Toll redesigned the pallets used to carry the cylinders, increasing each vehicle’s payload by 90% and cutting the number of required trips in half. Toll also completed extensive safety testing and driver training before rollout, helping improve productivity while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.
