Specialty Fashion Group (SFG), a major Australian women’s fashion retailer with brands including Millers, Katie’s, Autograph, Crossroads and City Chic, needed to transform its national distribution network to support growth, the acquisition of Rivers, and a new Click & Collect service. SFG turned to Toll Group for distribution and warehousing services to help redesign its supply chain and move stock more efficiently around the country.

Toll Group proposed centralising warehousing at its Homebush facility in Sydney and supporting SFG with transport services, shifting the retailer from a traditional push model to a more dynamic pull/push supply chain. The solution consolidated and simplified the network, and Toll Group is introducing automated cross docking to improve delivery speed and accuracy; the site is expected to dispatch over 25 million units annually from 2015.
