Royal Australian Navy - Customer Case Study

The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) needed to support United Nations disaster relief efforts in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan caused catastrophic damage and displacement. Toll Group was engaged to provide port services, vessel husbandry, and ground support for the HMAS Tobruk as it transported 25 trucks to the World Food Program.

Toll Group sent a Defence & Government officer to Cebu Province ahead of the vessel to assess conditions and identify issues that could affect delivery, then supplied the equipment and provisions needed to support the mission. As a result, the Royal Australian Navy successfully delivered the trucks to the World Food Program, helping enable timely distribution of aid to affected areas, with Toll Group drawing on its 13-year history of supporting RAN with marine logistics and humanitarian relief.
