BlueScope, Australia’s largest steelworks operator, needed a reliable logistics partner to manage the safe movement and storage of nearly three million tonnes of steel across a national supply chain, including domestic deliveries and import freight from New Zealand. Toll Group provided integrated logistics services to support transport, warehousing, consolidation, and wharf operations.

Toll Group implemented dedicated road transport, storage and wharf services, plus a real-time technology platform to improve dispatch visibility, route optimisation and flexible resource allocation. The partnership improved BlueScope’s intrastate supply chain, reduced shipment delays and wharf penalties, and delivered DIFOT performance above 99%, while moving 2.5 to 3 million tonnes of steel by road annually with minimal safety incidents.
