The Australian Defence Force needed to move payloads that exceeded the capacity of commercially available aircraft, including transporting equipment from the Middle East to Australia during the Gulf conflict. Toll Group supported this challenge with heavy lift aircraft chartering and remote logistics services, including aircraft charter personnel, ground handling, and freight handling.

Toll Group implemented chartered Antonov AN124 aircraft through its partnership with Polet Airlines to manage the heavy lift air logistics operation from start to finish. The result was the successful transport of Defence equipment over long distances, demonstrating Toll Group’s ability to deliver large-scale aviation logistics for complex and remote missions.
