The Australian Defence Force needed ongoing air charter support to move military personnel and equipment between Australia and the Middle East, with each movement involving up to 200 personnel and 43 tonnes of cargo. Toll Group provided the air charter services, with flexibility, reliability, and sensitivity as key requirements for the mission.

Toll Group’s solution was to charter commercial passenger aircraft as needed and deliver full operational support, including ground handling, load control, flight operations, passenger services, ramp services, freight forwarding, cargo handling, and inflight catering. The first flight under the contract took place in November 2014, followed by fortnightly services, and the Australian Defence Force said it was pleased with the highest standard of service and looked forward to working with Toll Group again.
