A Toku Case Study
ZkSync, a blockchain protocol, needed to execute a complex token generation event for over 400 contributors across more than 25 jurisdictions. The challenge involved managing intricate legal and tax requirements, processing hundreds of grant agreements, and coordinating multiple stakeholders under a very tight deadline with significant compliance risk. They partnered with the vendor Toku and used its Token Grant Administration and Multi-jurisdiction Compliance Execution services to manage the process.
Toku implemented a structured three-phase strategy for ZkSync, covering preparation, execution, and post-launch support to ensure a compliant and tax-efficient distribution. The results included completing the entire event on schedule, saving several hundred thousand dollars in legal costs, and ensuring full jurisdictional compliance. This provided ZkSync with a scalable and repeatable model for future token launches.
