Orvis, the international outdoor and sporting goods retailer, needed a safer way to handle payment and personal data across its ecommerce, contact center, retail store, and field point-of-sale channels. Concerned about data breaches and wanting to remove sensitive data from internal systems, Orvis looked for a security platform that could simplify operations, provide predictable pricing, and protect both PCI and PII data. It selected TokenEx Cloud Security Platform as its tokenization and data vaulting solution.

TokenEx implemented cloud tokenization, encryption, and secure vaulting across Orvis’s U.S. and UK ecommerce sites, contact centers, retail POS devices, and mobile field readers in about five months. The solution kept raw PANs and personal data out of Orvis systems, integrated with third-party partners and payment processors, and left customer and associate workflows unchanged. TokenEx also helped Orvis reduce PCI scope by 90 percent while securing all types of sensitive data.
