Locus Telecommunications, supporting its H2O Wireless brand, needed to reduce PCI risk across its omnichannel contact center while continuing to handle payment and customer data in its existing homegrown CRM and back-office systems. Human agents and IVR payment collection exposed payment card information, creating compliance and security concerns that required a way to keep sensitive data out of internal systems.

TokenEx provided cloud tokenization and cloud data vaulting, paired with Syntec’s CardEasy keypad-payment-by-phone solution, to intercept and tokenize payment card data before it entered Locus systems.
