Randstad improves employee retention with mentoring

Randstad, a consulting employer operating a Canada‑only population of about 1,000 employees, wanted a more accessible, geography‑focused mentoring program (for example, within Randstad Canada) rather than only a structured global program. To meet that need they partnered with Together to launch a localized, mentee‑led mentoring program using Together’s mentoring platform and services.

Together implemented the mentee‑led pairing program and supported local mentor–mentee matches; the program correlated with a 49% reduction in turnover for participants and strong satisfaction (3.9/4 average feedback). Together’s solution also produced measurable cost savings — mentored employees had an estimated turnover cost of ~$2.8K versus ~$5.7K for non‑mentored employees (a ~$2.9K savings per participant per year) based on a June–October 2019 sample (961 non‑mentored, 144 mentored).
