A Together Case Study
King, a division of Activision and creator of Candy Crush, sought to build a more diverse and inclusive workforce to foster greater creativity and innovation. A key challenge was supporting women and non-binary employees, who reported feeling a lack of confidence and access to equal opportunities, through a large-scale mentorship program called Kicking Glass. Manually pairing over 200 participants was a huge administrative task, so they turned to the vendor Together and its mentoring software for a solution.
Using Together's platform, King seamlessly matched mentees with mentors based on skills and goals via a sophisticated algorithm. The solution included customizable session agendas and also facilitated peer mentorship. The program successfully organized approximately 250 pairings and received an average satisfaction score of 3.9 out of 4 from participants. The measurable impact was significant, leading to plans for global expansion within Activision and contributing to more balanced hiring, with the percentage of new women hires increasing from 34% to 40%. The success of the program was directly attributed to the solution provided by Together.
