A Todoist Case Study
Travelocity’s digital marketing team, led by Marketing Director Phil Ayres, needed a simple but robust way to capture priorities, assign responsibility, and track many concurrent projects and external vendors so items wouldn’t fall through the cracks. To centralize task management without adding bureaucracy, Travelocity adopted the Todoist app.
Using Todoist’s features—due dates, assignee labels, recurring tasks, comments, filters and the Outlook integration—Ayres built a lightweight system for delegating work, preparing one‑on‑ones, and tracking project milestones. Todoist helped the team “rarely miss a step or detail,” improved accountability and follow‑up, and even gave Ayres better personal organization (he used it to manage his daughter’s soccer team), a change he describes as having a “huge impact” on how Travelocity manages tasks.
