UWCSEA embeds service across 13 years of learning with Toddle

UWC South East Asia (UWCSEA) sought to move beyond traditional, ad-hoc service activities to embed a deep, developmental culture of service learning across its entire K-12 curriculum. The challenge was to create a structured, progressive framework that would teach students to listen and understand needs before acting, ensuring the program's longevity beyond individual student leaders. The school partnered with Toddle to support this initiative.

Toddle collaborated with UWCSEA to develop and implement a comprehensive K-12 service, sustainability, and peace curriculum. This framework progresses students from noticing others' perspectives in primary years, to taking action in middle school, and finally to systems thinking in senior years. The solution, supported by Toddle, resulted in profound student-led projects, continuity across graduating classes, and tangible impacts like Project Fuxi and the ongoing Initiative for Peace, demonstrating a measurable shift from simply doing service to truly learning how to serve.
