Case Study: RMIT University reduces economic abuse in young adult relationships with Today’s You, Me & Money digital toolkit

RMIT University tackles economic abuse with Today, reaching 15.7% of women and 7.1% of men

The vendor Today partnered with RMIT University to address the challenge of economic abuse among young adults. Research from RMIT revealed that a significant portion of young people experience this form of abuse but often lack the awareness and tools to identify it or have constructive conversations about finances with their partners.

Today co-designed a digital resource called You, Me & Money in collaboration with RMIT and YLab. The solution centered around a light finance personality quiz to make the topic approachable and provide advice for healthy money conversations. The project was highly successful, earning numerous awards including Gold at the Anthem Awards and Good Design Awards, and received positive feedback from participants who reported feeling more confident discussing finances with their partners.
