Neami National launches Australia’s first urgent mental health care centre with Today

Neami National, in partnership with SA Health and RI International, faced the challenge of launching Australia's first urgent mental health care centre to provide a supportive alternative to hospital emergency departments for people in crisis. The vendor Today was engaged to bring this new care model to life through thoughtful interior design and an experience strategy.

Today developed the centre's brand and a detailed experience strategy informed by co-design research to create a welcoming and supportive environment. The solution successfully gave form to Neami's vision, resulting in a proof-of-concept facility that demonstrates how urgent mental health care can be fairer, kinder, and more effective. The project was recognized with multiple awards, including a Good Design Award for Social Impact.
