Kin Advocacy relaunches in 25+ interviews with Today

Kin Advocacy, formerly known as Ethnic Disability Advocacy Centre (EDAC), faced the challenge of rebranding to better reflect its expanded mission to serve Indigenous communities in addition to its culturally and linguistically diverse clients. They partnered with the vendor Today to develop a new brand purpose and identity that was inclusive and respectful of this evolution.

The solution from Today involved extensive community consultation through workshops and interviews to co-design the new brand strategy. This resulted in the new name Kin Advocacy, a comprehensive design system, and a respectful tone of voice. As a result, Kin launched a fully-accessible website that won Website of the Year at the Australian Access Awards, successfully repositioning the organization for its expanded mandate.
