Foundation for Young Australians launches Pivot with Today, informing skill gaps in South West Victoria

The Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) faced the challenge of helping young people develop the skills needed for a fulfilling career in a rapidly changing world. They partnered with the vendor Today to reshape career advice and address the shortcomings of traditional job matching. Together, they aimed to proactively change mindsets about career pathways.

Today collaborated with young people to co-design an online tool called Pivot, which was informed by insights into their emotional drivers and barriers. The solution provides a simple way to find career opportunities and explore new pathways. Since its launch, Today notes that data from Pivot is being used to identify skill gaps in South West Victoria, which in turn informs the development of micro-credential courses at South West Tafe and other employee training programs.
