Custom Manufacturer Deploys ERP System with PLM Integration to Cut Costs, Increase Customer Satisfaction, and Become More Competitive

Tronrud Engineering AS, a Norwegian project-based manufacturer of highly complex custom equipment, needed to replace an end-of-life ERP system and improve how its engineering and manufacturing teams worked with PLM. The company chose To-Increase software, including To-Increase PLM Integration and Advanced Discrete Manufacturing, to connect Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 with Siemens Teamcenter and support more efficient workflows.

With help from implementation partner Columbus Global, Tronrud deployed Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 integrated with Siemens Teamcenter using To-Increase’s standardized PLM integration. The new setup reduced handoff time from design to production, eliminated duplicate data entry and extra BOM checks, improved revision control and materials planning, and helped the company target 97% or better on-time delivery. Tronrud also reported cost savings, higher customer satisfaction, and stronger competitive positioning, with closer integration expected to support future growth.
