Marque Oil & Gas evaluates Freya Field at 1-1.5m scale with tNavigator

Marque Oil & Gas faced the challenge of evaluating the Freya Field, a complex and heavily faulted reservoir where fracture-enhanced permeability was key to production. The intricate network of faults made it difficult to model reservoir performance and justify future investment. To address this, they partnered with tNavigator to utilize its integrated static and dynamic modelling capabilities.

tNavigator provided a solution by leveraging automated workflows and additional computing power to run multiple geological-scale simulation models. This approach allowed Marque Oil & Gas to efficiently explore a wide range of uncertainties and parameters. The results demonstrated that the initial exploration well location was not optimal, preventing a costly investment in a non-viable site. The project was made feasible by tNavigator's fully parallel software, which utilized hardware to its full potential and enabled the creation of multiple realisations of the complex model without disruptive long run times.
