A European network provider was the victim of an IRSF attack that went undetected by their rules-based fraud management system, resulting in hundreds of fraudulent calls. The company engaged TMT ID to evaluate whether its International Premium Rate Number (IPRN) Database service could have identified the threat more effectively.

TMT ID's analysis proved the IPRN database would have identified all 812 fraudulent calls, with 539 as exact matches and 273 as partial matches. This would have triggered an immediate alert after the first 83 calls, enabling the attack to be stopped early and preventing significant losses, demonstrating a clear advantage over the provider's previous system.
