Western Michigan University Modernizing Work Order Management Systems

Western Michigan University, a large public research institution with more than 6 million square feet across five campuses, 16,000+ students, and 120+ buildings, was struggling with a reactive maintenance strategy. The university needed a better way to manage a high volume of work orders and preventive maintenance, and turned to TMA Systems and its WebTMA platform.

TMA Systems implemented WebTMA7 to streamline work order management, improve real-time tracking, and support both reactive and preventive maintenance across campus. The result was a more proactive facility management program, with nearly a three-fold reduction in reactive work orders compared with the pre-WebTMA7 environment, along with better reporting, mobile access, and data-driven decision-making.
